DESIGN & CRAFTS FAIR30th of August - 1st of September 2013This September will once again see the city of Aalborg hosting a market in which attractive & oblique, classic & alternative design and crafts meet as DOK#1 opens for the fifth time, following our decision in 2011 to turn the fair into a biennial event.50  hand-picked exhibitors will be displaying powerful pottery, rustic & refined jewellery, fantastic glass design & trendy textiles. It’s a juried market and there’ll be both exhibitions and sales booths.This year’s new initiative at DOK#1 is a large Design Spot area. Here DOK#1 will be concentrating its focus on current design trends featuring carefully selected designers from home and abroad.GRÜN-ish is the title of the DOK#1 market in 2013. The ambiguity that’s inherent in the title will be reflected in this year’s fountain decoration/installation on the square at Toldbod Plads.The market will be held on Toldbod Plads, an attractive square that links Aalborg’s waterfront to the city centre.www.dok1.dk
